Programs
Hilton Head Island Middle School provides students with the skills and support needed to achieve academic success at the highest level. As the only school in Beaufort County that offers the Middle Years Programme, HHIMS prepares students to seamlessly transition to high school.
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) encourage students to make connections between traditional learning and the real world. The MYP is a five-year programme for students aged 11-16, which can be implemented in a partnership between schools, or in several abbreviated (two, three or four year) formats. Students who complete the MYP are well-prepared to undertake the IB Diploma Programme (DP) or Career-related Programme (CP).
In addition to MYP, they offer Project Lead the Way, which allows students to explore and engage in activities they are passionate about. With a highly Cuerpo estudiantil diverso, HHIMS is committed to building a school culture that supports diversity in a safe, nurturing environment. Students are able to recognize their individual strengths and needs and use that knowledge to grow as lifelong learners.
Find out more about the MYP by visiting the official IB MYP webpage. If you have questions about the MYP Programme at Hilton Head Island Middle School, please email Amy Prior at amy.prior@beaufort.k12.sc.us.
