Welcome Back Message from PTA

Hello Everyone -
Even though it's sad to see summer end, we are so looking forward to a great first day tomorrow! The teachers and staff are ready to welcome the students and kick off an amazing year!

Here are some updates for you:
School times/Carpool tips -  The school day runs from 8:45 am - 3:45 pm. The building opens for students at 8:20 am - please do not drop off your children any earlier as they will not be allowed to enter the building until 8:20. Students must be picked up by 4:00 pm. 6th grade students are dropped off and picked up at the school's front entrance, while 7th and 8th grade students are dropped off and picked up at the rear entrance. Please pull all the way forward to allow the carpool to move smoothly. Also, please do not drive through the bus parking lot. Our bus schedules are attached to this email for your reference.
Student and Parent Info Packet - Your students will be bringing home a packet this week with lots of important information and forms - tablet info, lunch forms, policies and procedures, supply info for each of their classes, etc. Please be on the lookout for this info and return the required forms to school in advance of the deadlines to make sure your students has everything he/she needs for the year.
Schedules/Questions: Students who did not attend the Startup event will receive their schedules tomorrow. If you have any questions about your child's schedule, please contact our counseling department at 843-689-4566. Grade level counselors are: Mrs. Jennifer Simmons (6th), Mrs. Carmela Larkby (7th), and Mrs. Gaby Wheatley (8th).

Stingray Apparel - If you missed the chance to purchase school-approved hoodies and sweatshirts at the Stingray Start-up, we will be selling them at our Open House later this month as well as during designated lunches beginning in two weeks. If you need a hoodie before then, please reply to this email and we will make arrangements with you.
Stingray Support Circle - This new program provides assistance to our students and families who need support. More information will be coming soon, but at this time, we are looking for donations of school supplies and new uniforms as well as toiletries and laundry and cleaning items. You can donate any of these items by dropping them in the bin in our front lobby. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer with this program. please contact Shannon Bedenbaugh at sbedenbaugh@sc.rr.com
Appliances Needed - Our school is in need of the following:
2 New or Gently-Used Microwaves for our cafeteria. The more we have, the less time students and teachers have to wait in line to heat their lunches.
A basic refrigerator to be used in the media center. They are looking for a fridge in working order - nothing fancy but it needs to be full-size.
If you happen to have an extra appliance or know someone who is renovating who would like to donate an old one, please respond to this email!
Thank you for all of your support - we wish you and your students a great year! If you have any questions, or need help, please reply to this email!
